Efter att ha läst de flesta av Couplands böcker kan jag säga att jag tycker att han nu kommit tillbaka i form efter några böcker som inte riktigt hållit måttet. Coupland har visserligen alltid varit ojämn med riktiga hödpunkter i "Microserfs" och "Grilfriend in a coma". Till denna skara tycker jag även att "All families are psychotic" hör. Om man kan sina Amerikanska kulturreferenser så tycker jag absolut att Coupland alltid skall läsas på Engelska (och eg. alla författare med Engelska som orginalspråk), om inte kanske det går lika bra på Svenska. En av de saker som jag tycker utmärker Coupland och denna boken i synnerhet är hans "vardagisering" av de mest absurda händelser. Trots titeln kan jag säga att denna boken är grymt rolig, fylld av sarkasm och ironi och i ett svindlande tempo. Trots att de mest konstiga karaktärer finns med i familjen i fråga så gör han dem alla mänskliga utan att racka ned för mycket på de enskilda karaktärerna. Köp den, läs den, ha kul.
