Vikas Swarup is an Indian diplomat and is currently serving as Indian Deputy High Commissioner in South Africa. Rights to his first novel, Q&A, have been sold in over thirty-five countries, and it is currently being made both into a stage musical and a film, under the title Slum Dog Millionaire.
