Every aspect of the Stones' story is covered, including the band's private lives, drug busts, performances, recording sessions, public appearances, photo sessions and more. The photographs, both black-and-white and full colour, are arranged chronologically; many of these images have rarely or never been seen before. Each caption, by "The Beatles: 365 Days'" author Simon Wells, provides details about the photo along with other pertinent information that will further enlighten the reader about the people and events pictured. Many captions will also contain a relevant quote from one of the Stones or one of their close friends, such as Ian Stewart, Andrew Loog Oldham, Marianne Faithful, or Anita Pallenberg, as well as from published articles, journalists, etc.

Simon Wells is the author of The Beatles: 365 Days, and he has contributed copious features on film and music to a variety of newspapers and magazines, including The Guardian, The Times, and The Beatles' Book, the group's official journal. His first book, Your Face Here: British Cult Movies Since the 1960s was a critical success, entering the BBC's Top Ten Books of the Year for 2001. In addition to curating a month-long season of 1960s films at the National Film Theatre in 2003, Wells serves on the committee to establish a memorial garden in honour of George Harrison. He lives in Sussex, England.
