This year marks the 150th anniversary of the publication of Charles Darwin's "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life". Jag tänker inte recensera denna bok som en vetenskaplig sådan, utan här koncentrerar jag mig på illustrationerna och huruvida man ska köpa denna framför en utan illustrationer. Slutsatsen är: ja. Den här boken kostar ca 100 SEK mer än On The Origin Of Species (utan illustrationer). Illustrationerna ställs sidan vid sidan av texterna och berättar samma historia som orden bredvid dem. Det finns även illustrationer om de berömda satirerna på Darwin, samt bilder på musuem som tagit upp forsknigen efter Darwin. On The Origin Of Species är en av de viktigaste böckerna, i sådana fall, köp den här - en väldetaljerade och tillräckligt genomgående bok för att förstå den första logiskt giltiga evolutionsteorin skapas.
