"This book is a good look at the various types of field fortifications prepared by the Soviets during the war... a number of color illustrations of various types of positions are impressive and the artist has used appropriate colors to help make these illustrations quite clear to the reader... This is an interesting book." --Coastal Defense Journal "It is a look at something quite basic, but rarely given any real thought by most readers. A fascinating book that I am sure you will enjoy." --Scott Van Aken, modelingmadness.com (May 2007)
