John White is a lifelong football fan who has dedicated his spare time and his computer to compiling an impressively comprehensive database of sporting facts and figures. He is the mastermind the Carlton Books Miscellany series, which now comprises, Manchester United, England Football, England Cricket, The Olympics, Golf and Formula One. He also compiled White's Sports Alamanac 2008. He lives in Co. Down, Northern Ireland.
