The Strengths Book provides a call to action for everyone to find what is strongest about themselves and maximise it. The Hall of Fame section for each of the sixty strengths provides a veritable catalogue of male and female role models, which should inspire everyone to make the most of the life that they have been granted.A" Marci Shimoff, # 1 New York Times bestselling author, Happy for No Reason and Chicken Soup for the Soul Alex Linley's book "Average to A+ - Realising Strengths in Yourself and Others" was a lightbulb moment for me - not just for being more productive in the workplace (the basic concept is that if you play to your strengths, you work more efficiently and are happier too), but also for getting more out of life. This new book takes that one step further, by unpackaging the range of strengths available to us, with plenty of case studies and practical advice along the way. So this is great for managers who are under pressure to make productivity gains: if you want your staff to work more efficiently, you can use this as a tool to organise them around their strengths. And if you're unhappy at work, this book will help you to move to a place where you are a round peg in a round hole. Highly recommended. The Strengths Book is truly inspiring, and will be of real support to many; whether they are seeking guidance in career and professional paths or in their personal life. I recommend this for those looking for ways in which to be happier in work and play - I'm sure the vast majority will find at least some of their own experienes reflected in the insights within the case studies (more like a story than an academic text). The practical tips and tools will provide immediate support and guidance enabling the reader to quickly transfer learning from the book into their own life situation.
