She currently teaches writing classes and her fiction, essays, talks, and reviews have appeared in Harper's, Granta, on BBC's Radio 4, and in literary journals. Howard Mittelmark worked as an agent at the Scott Meredith Literary Agency, bought and edited fiction for Penthouse, and is the co-author of two New York Times bestsellers and the upcoming Age of Consent (Penguin).
