    Mycket välskriven, lågmäld och känsligt återgiven berättelse om hur en framgångsrik familj grymt störtades in i död och fullständig förstörelse av antisemitism och den nazistiska utrotningspolitiken. Berättelsen korsar spår med A time of gifts av Patrick Leigh Fermor.

    Jag tyckte mycket om denna släktberättelse. Kunde inte släppa den ifrån mig. Både känsligt och underbar. Med andra ord ett mästerverk !

Edmund de Waal is an artist whose porcelain is exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. His bestselling memoir, The Hare with Amber Eyes, won the RSL Ondaatje prize and the Costa Biography Award and in 2015 he was awarded the Windham-Campbell prize for non-fiction by Yale University.
