Recensioner i media

Daily Mail A beautifully illustrated (the spread-eagled, sleeping Piper will melt your heart) and touchingly sweet story about growing up and taking the first steps towards independence.

We Love This Book Children finding it difficult to spend a night alone will take comfort in Piper's plight and should grow in confidence. A great book, colourfully illustrated by Layn Marlow.

The Scotsman "The warm and comforting tones of Layn Marlow's beautiful pictures reinforce the message of Amber Stewart's gentle story. An ideal book to read with toddlers."

Irish Daily Mail "...This is a beautifully illustrated...and sweet story about growing up. With luck, it might bring everyone an undisturbed night's sleep too."

Övrig information

Amber Stewart spent her early childhood in London and moved to rural Dorset as a teenager. She graduated from University College London with a degree in Russian and began an ongoing career in children's book publishing. Amber commutes daily to London from an old farmhouse in Buckinghamshire where she lives with her husband, two children and a menagerie of ponies, cats and dogs. Layn Marlow grew up in Essex. After studying history of art at Reading University, Layn began her career working in libraries. She lived in Belgium for several years but it was on her return to the UK that she enrolled as a mature student at Southampton University and received a first class degree in illustration. Layn now lives in Hampshire with her husband, two children, a hamster and a goldfish. For relaxation she loves listening to the radio, knitting and karate!
