Her book provides an invaluable lesson on the benefits of focusing close attention on authorial purpose and audience reception, and her insights will transform our future readings.
Erin Maglaque, English Historical Review a fascinating read, especially for historians broadly interested in this complicated period which spans the late medieval and early modern.

Her focus in this respect is on the production and reception of the pilgrimage accounts. The strength of the study undoubtedly lies in the comprehensive investigation of the manuscript transmission of the four pilgrimage accounts from Fabri's pen.

Kathryne Beebe is originally from just south of Kansas City, is now based in the United States after almost ten years in the UK.
