Dr Johanne Cox is a Legal Director at Clyde & Co where she practices international commercial arbitration with a focus on investment treaty arbitration, representing both sovereign states and foreign investors. She has over 14 years' experience in international arbitration and was previously Partner and Head of International Arbitration at one of Egypt's largest law firms, Matouk Bassiouny. Johanne holds a doctorate in international law and the expropriation of foreign investments from Queen Mary University of London. She has co-authored various chapters on international arbitration and litigation and the proposed book is based on her doctoral thesis.
