<br>Curtis L. Meinert, PhD, is a Professor in the Departments of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He was founder of the Center for Clinical Trials and served as its director through September 2005. He was a founding member of the Society for Clinical Trials and was Editor of Controlled Clinical Trials from its inception in 1980 through 1993.<br>
