Peter Green, London Review of Books formidable scholarship... He sets out his general thesis and its sources with admirable clarity... detailed and illuminating

Kveta Smolarikova, Chronique d'Egypte An excellent study of one of the most neglected priods of Egyptian history... highly reccommend...

Anthony J. Papalas, Bryn Mawr Classical Review Ruzicka has written an excellent scholarly monograph based on a wide and deep knowledge of the ancient texts and modern scholarship. It is particularly impressive that he produced a very readable narrative history of this complex subject.
