From the Foreword by Bobby Owsinski Scott does an excellent job of providing an outline of a number of different potential career paths that you might not have been previously aware of or considered. It's a much larger industry than initially meets the eye. Beyond Sound will also provide a great overview of the different music technology courses available, what the differences between them are, and the qualifying requirements of each. All of this comes in an extremely easy to read package that you'll find as enjoyable as it is informative. You'll read some interesting career anecdotes, get lots of advice, and have a clearer idea about your future when you're finished.

David Brian Williams, PhD, Emeritus Professor of Music and Arts Technology, Illinois State University For students dreaming of a career pursuing their love of music and technology, for the parent seeking viable career choices for their children, or for someone looking for a career change into this exciting profession and industry, Beyond Sound offers an excellent resource of background material, practical information, and rich anecdotal advice from successful professionals in the multifaceted field of music technology.
