Paolo D'Iorio is director of the Institut des textes et manuscrits modernes at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique at the Ecole normale superieure in Paris. His work on Nietzsche includes publications on the concept of eternal return in both its philosophical and cosmological aspects and on the significance of pre-Platonic philosophy for Nietzsche's thought. He is general editor of Nietzsche Source and contributes to the French and Italian editions of Nietzsche's complete works. Sylvia Mae Gorelick is a freelance translator and poet.
