Pedro Meira Monteiro is the Arthur W. Marks '19 Professor of Spanish and Portuguese at Princeton University. He is the author, editor, and co-editor of numerous books, including a critical edition of Razes do Brasil. Flora Thomson-DeVeaux is a writer, researcher, and translator, most recently of The Posthumous Memoirs of Brs Cubas. She studied Spanish and Portuguese at Princeton University and earned a PhD in Portuguese and Brazilian studies from Brown University. She lives in Rio de Janeiro
