Recensioner i media
Erich Goode is clearly a master when it comes to textbooks on deviance. This new edition presents a complete, comparative, and comprehensive view of what the sociology of deviance is all about, providing a definite positive reading and learning experience. Erich contextualizes a large number of illustrative cases with a thorough examination of the various theories and concepts that enable us a better comprehension of deviance within relevant sociological perceptions. Thus, readers are taken to an illuminating, engaging, and easy to read and understand tour-de-force of the multiple and various manifestations of deviance, and why they take place. This edition offers a text that is both rich in descriptions and analysis, suggesting many insights but most of all, it will make you think. Nachman Ben-Yehuda, co-author of Fraud and Misconduct in Research; Professor of Sociology, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem
