Slavoj Zizek (1949-) is one of the most prolific and charismatic cultural theorists working today. The author of such books as The Ticklish Subject and maker of documentaries such as The Perverts Guide to Cinema, he is currently Senior Researcher at the Insititute for Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia.
