"Every Women's and Gender Studies student-and instructor-should read Transforming Scholarship. It provides practical advice for students' transition from 'everyone should take this course!' to articulation of the personal and professional value of their degree, informed by the history and experiences of Women's and Gender Studies students and professionals. There should be a copy of this great resource in every Women's Center."- Jeannie Ludlow, Women's Studies, Eastern Illinois University "In reflections on the range of what we do in WGS, how to talk about WGS, and what you can do with a WGS degree, this engaged and lively book lays out an exciting roadmap of the field's breadth and scope. Its strength is especially in the way it makes connections between WGS and the rest of one's life, while at university and afterwards. Ideal and highly recommended reading both for people new to WGS as well as to more experienced practitioners."-Ann Braithwaite, Diversity and Social Justice Studies, University of Prince Edward Island "Transforming Scholarship is a book that every women's and gender studies major should read. Full of practical advice for how to pursue a meaningful and feminist career, the book also provides students with a wide range of real-life examples of how people are using their women's and gender studies degrees after graduation. The perfect book for an undergraduate senior seminar or capstone course."- Astrid Henry, Women's Studies, Grinnell College "Transforming Scholarship is the ideal guide for young people starting their journeys in women's and gender studies. Berger and Radeloff provide an engaging, practical, evidence-based map of both the field and the many paths where it can lead. They invite readers to reflect, share their knowledge, and then chart their own course. This book is a gift to faculty and students."- Elizabeth Cole, Women's Studies, University of Michigan "Berger and Radeloff have revised their ground-breaking 2011 practical guidebook to women's and gender studies by expanding on the field's applications for study, research, and career development... The references offer practical as well as scholarly materials for further research, making this guide a unique reference source for career shelves as well as a useful supplementary classroom text. Summing Up: Highly recommended. Lower-level undergraduates and above."- G. M. Herrmann, SUNY College at Cortland, CHOICE Reviews
