Anita Meyer Meinbach, Ed.D
As a parent, classroom teacher, and Associate Professor at the University of
Miami's School of Education and Human Development, Anita long recognized the power of children's literature to inspire and transform lives. The author of over a dozen books for educators to help them bring the magic and joy of children's literature into the classroom, she was honored as Miami-Dade Teacher of the Year, 2003, and selected to be on one of U.S. Today 's "All Teacher Team."

A graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Miami School of
Medicine, David is a urologist and partner in University Urology in Delray Beach,
Florida. David grew up loving books. Together, with his wife Angeline, they have instilled this same love and enthusiasm in their children, Gabrielle and Lucas. The idea for What Luck! was an outgrowth of a conversation David and his mom had when reminiscing about the days he spent as a young boy waiting in the outfield for a ball to come his way!
