Dr. Don Resnick is Chief of Osteoradiology in the Department of Radiology atthe Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Diego, and Professor of Radiologyat the University of California, San Diego. He is an internationally recognized authority in his field in both radiology and orthopaedics communities. A long-time W.B. Saunders author, Dr. Resnick chose Mosby in a highly-competitive situation to publish this newest book to bear his name. Winning this project represents a substantial coup for Mosby, the addition of another ?star? author to both our radiology and orthopaedics lists. His name, a name with the caliber of an Anne Osborn, will sell<br/>the product.<br/><br/>Amonghis Saunders publications, Dr. Resnick is the author of the 6-volume definitive reference Diagnosis of Bone and Joint Disorders. As a complete set pricedat $695, the third edition (published in 1995, with 5935 pp. and 11324 ills.) sold over 5600 units between 1988 and 1991. Individual volumes were also sold separately. In that same time period, sales of the individual volumes ran approximately 500 units each. Dr. Resnick is also the author of Bone and Joint Imaging which in its second edition (published in 1996, with 1215 pp. and 1330 ills.) sold over 5500 units between 1989 and 1991. [Bear in mind that these figures are not final total sales.]<br/><br/>Dr. Marnix van Holsbeeck is Director of Musculoskeletal and ER Radiology at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He also represents radiology at The Bone and Joint Center of Henry Ford?s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. A leading authority in the UnitedStates on musculoskeletal ultrasound, Dr. van Holsbeeck is the author of oursuccessful title Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (see more about this title in the ?Market Factors/Conditions? section below).<br/><br/>Drs.
