There are no coincidences. Aurelie Bredin, a beautiful Parisian restaurateur, is sure of this truth. On a gloomy Friday in November, when Aurelie is feeling depressed after a breakup, she discovers a novel entitled "The Smiles of Women" in a quaint bookshop on the Ile-St.-Louis. But Aurelie refuses to give up. Nicolas Barreau was born in Paris, the son of a French father and a German mother. He studied romance languages and literature at the Sorbonne and worked in a bookshop on the Rive Gauche in Paris. He is also the author of "One Evening in Paris, ""The Woman of My Dreams, " and "You'll Find Me at the End of the World."
