Once he understood in depth the condition so misleadingly called ADHD [Alex] found sense where before he'd found nonsense, he found meaning where before he'd found the absurd, and he found love where before he'd found awkward distances. Partridge has written one of the most complete and moving accounts I've ever read about coming to terms with ADHD and turning what's advertised as a 'deficit disorder' into a gift which, once unwrapped, lights up darkness wherever darkness lurks. On behalf of all of us who grope toward understanding, thank you, Mr Partridge; thank you, thank you. * Edward Hallowell, MD, author of 'ADHD 2.0' and other books * Alex is rich, successful and an entertaining and concise communicator. Alex is also very ADHD. You want to read this book for all these reasons. It helps that it is short. * Kate Spicer, Journalist and Presenter * A powerhouse of a book. Deeply validating. * Rich and Roxanne Pink (ADHD Love) * This book shows ADHD isn't just for little boys - it's for everyone. From relationships to entrepreneurs, finance to parenting, this provides validation, hope, and clarity for all of us who have felt both 'too much' and 'not enough' as we are. A must-read to connect the dots of ADHD in yourself and others. * Leanne Maskell, founder of ADHD Works and Author of 'ADHD: An A to Z' * This book's ability to present an alternative perspective on ADHD, where individuals develop a profound understanding of their neurodiverse brain and recognize its unique advantages, is incredible. Rather than seeing ADHD as something that holds an individual back, it highlights how it can elevate one's capacity to contribute to society. This is a much-needed book in today's world. * TJ Power, Neuroscientist * I've learnt so much from Alex and sighed with so many 'A-ha' moments that I haven't seen in books before. Thank you for making us feel seen, heard and celebrated! * Martine McCutcheon, Actor and Singer * Truly life changing. The perfect antidote for shame. * Samantha Hiew PhD, founder of ADHD Girls *
Alex Partridge is a pioneer of social media content as we know it today, and founded UNILAD and LADBible at the age of 21. In 2017 Alex fought and won a major legal dispute over the ownership of UNILAD (having left his editorial role in 2013 while remaining a shareholder). Having uncoupled himself from both brands, Alex is now a neurodiversity and mental health advocate and has spoken widely on how the stress of litigation tipped him into alcoholism. Aged 34, he was diagnosed with ADHD and has quickly developed a social media platform around neurodiversity. He hosts the chart-topping podcast ADHD Chatter, which attracts an audience of thousands every week.
