Something Deeply Hidden begins with the news that physics is in a crisis. Quantum mechanics underlies all of modern physics but major gaps in the theory have been ignored since 1927. The Many Worlds Theory of quantum behavior says that every time there is a quantum event, a world splits off with everything in it the same, except in that other world the quantum event didn't happen.     Boken handlar om kvantfysik och olika tolkningar av den (tex Köpenhamnstolkningen, Bohms pilotvågsteori mfl). Tonvikten ligger dock på Everetts sk "many-worlds" teori, dvs att varje gång en kvantmekanisk mätning kan ha flera utfall så sker i själva verket alla utfall, fast i "olika världar", Jag har alltid tyckt detta låtit helskumt, men faktum är att efter att ha läst boken så är det inte alls så konstigt, och på många sätt troligare än andra tolkningar.
