In August 1944 the British Pacific Fleet did not exist. DAVID HOBBS, after serving in the Royal Navy as a pilot for 33 years, became the Curator of the Fleet Air Arm Museum for a further eight. He has since established himself as an authoritative writer and journalist on naval aviation topics, with more than twenty highly regarded books to his name. The most recent of these was The British Carrier Strike Fleet after 1945, published by Seaforth in 2015.
