Professor Mackay, an Old Testament and Hebrew specialist, has provided us with a readable but rich, competent commentary on the biblical text. His extended introduction is also valuable and a necessary read for grappling with the text of Ezekiel. -- D. John L. Mackay (19482018) was the Principal of the Free Church College, Edinburgh where he taught Old Testament from 1983 until his retirement in 2013. He was a highlyrespected Old Testament scholar and authored several wellreceived commentaries on a range of Biblical books.
