Once you know the Enneagram, you see it in everything. Dr. Angela Rosenberg finds it in the garden and in relationships. Flower beds are fertile ground for exploring the many dimensions and nuances of the Enneagram. The author's passion for both gardening and the Enneagram pour out of the pages, making for a delightful and impactful read. - Matt Schlegel, author of Teamwork 9.0-Successful Workgroup Problem Solving Using the Enneagram
Full of wisdom and with an absolutely authentic voice, this book is an insightful work for the green or brown thumb alike. As a non-gardener, I gained illumination about what "makes people tick" and found some inspiration to try my Type 3 hand out at tilling a row or two! - Claudia S. P. Fernandez, DrPH, MS, RD, LDN, author of It-Factor Leadership: Become a Better Leader in 13 Steps
Type manifests in every facet of life. The author looks at Enneagram types through the interactions of the gardener and her garden. If you garden (or love those who do), you will see people you know in the pages of this book. Rosenberg achieves a beautiful integration of a deep knowledge of flowers, essences, art, poetry, symbology, and history with an equally deep understanding of the Enneagram. She includes carefully chosen quotes that hit the spot for each type. Her writing style is light, with moments of lyrical delight that will bring a smile to your face. I'm not a pun guy, but I chuckled at lots of her garden puns. Her style is whimsical, but also gentle, nurturing, and inspiring. This book will introduce the Enneagram to a whole new crop of people who will fall in love with the system. - Roger Hall, PhD, Compass Consultation, Ltd., author of Staying Happy Being Productive
This book is a wonderful way for flower lovers, gardeners, skeptics, and nature lovers to find their way to the Enneagram. The author's humor, wordplay, and knowledge of the Enneagram naturally flow in a fun, magical, diverse garden of a book. - Kate Finlayson, Creator of Dancing the Enneagram
Dr. Angela Rosenberg, DrPH, focuses on leadership development and advancement of individuals and teams, through her company, Inside Out. She is a Board Certified Leadership Coach (BCC) who uses a variety of assessment tools in her workshops and retreats; the Enneagram is, admittedly, her favorite. She has presented and consulted on team-building approaches and strategic planning with numerous national organizations and has authored publications in several peer-reviewed journals.
Angela also wrote and illustrated The Shell and Me, a children's book. She gardens on her North Carolina farm where she lives with her husband, Great Danes, a Golden Doodle, donkeys, and one brave cat.
