Horrifying happenings in Ireland - not so very long ago. Reading certain parts of the book I could hardly understand that what was being described was from the 70s, 80s, or 90s. Jo Spain certainly ruffled a few of my own, uninformed, beliefs about nuns and to a lesser extent, the Catholic church.

Jo Spain is a full-time writer and screenwriter.
