Carrie Bebris (foreword), author of nine novels, is best known for her award-winning Mr. & Mrs. Darcy Mystery series: Pride and Prescience, North by Northanger (winner of the 2007 Daphne du Maurier Award), The Intrigue at Highbury, et al. Also a journalist, editor and writing instructor, her nonfiction work includes articles for Jane Austen's Regency World magazine and an essay in the recent anthology The Joy of Jane; she has served on the faculty of the Antioch Writers Workshop and was a 2016 Ragdale writer-in-residence. A life member and regional officer of the Jane Austen Society of North America, she holds an M.A. in English and speaks frequently about Austen, Georgian social history and writing. www.carriebebris.com
