Professor Caroline Cox is an international authority on fashion history. Originally trained as an art historian, she moved into fashion theory and history, soon becoming known as an inspiring lecturer and educator as Head of Cultural Studies at the London College of Fashion. As a result of her encyclopaedic knowledge of fashion trends and their origins Caroline was headhunted by Vidal Sassoon International to lecture at the 'Harvard of Hairdressing', Vidal Sassoon's Advanced Academy in Grosvenor Street, London. She remains there as International Trends Consultant, helping dictate the trends in hair we see around us today - including David Beckham's 'fin'. For her outstanding contribution to Cultural History, Caroline was awarded an Honorary Professorship at the University of Arts, London, at the same time as Sir Terence Conran and Ralph Steadman. She is frequently called on for her opinions on fashion trends and lectures throughout the world.
