USA Today said of The Death Artist: Colorful... fascinating... disturbing... a crime novel that is savage and erudite, layered in wit, satire and psychosis - in short, a chilling novel, while People magazine said Santlofer's insight into the passion at the heart of greeat art brings his evocative thriller to richly impastoed life. Bottom line: Fine portrait. People Pleasingly nasty... Santlofer's Manhattan is a place of seething resentment, greed, hypocrisy, and some genuine talent, a heartless world where art and pornography feed on each other. Washington Post

Övrig information

Jonathan Santlofer is an internationally recognised artist with more than a hundred exhibitions around the world. His work, which is held in many public, private, and corporate collections, has been written about in the New York Times, Artforum and Art in America, and received numerous awards, including two National Endowment for the Arts painting awards. This is his first novel. At Snowbooks, we believe that the key to success is a fresh approach. We choose to publish books that we think are marketable, but we must also adore the titles we pick. We like to let our authors decide their level of contribution: some might only want a check in the mail; others are quite happy to accept or reject anything we can send their way. We embrace the large booksellers for the important role they play, but we wouldn't like to lose touch with the independents, as we're only small ourselves.
