Goldendoodles are a recent hybrid breed of dog with a lineage directly from Golden Retrievers and Poodles. They are not a recognised breed, and their genetics are still very unpredictable. A puppy could have inherited genes predominantly from either gene pool in its lineage. Some Goldendoodles have coats that shed regularly, and others have coats that shed very little. The hypoallergenic Poodle gene is not a guarantee because the breed is too recent. Whichever gene pool a puppy may lean towards, one thing is certain - it will grow into a gorgeous looking dog with a kind and gentle nature. Goldendoodles thrive on human company, are eager to please and train easily because they are intelligent dogs. One thing a Goldendoodle is not is an outside dog that gets very little attention!
