It also acts as a guide for the accompanying Student Practical Manual, that can be used with this or another prescribed text.

Safety and historical background are addressed as well.
The book is supplemented by the inclusion of web links to videos for teacher guidance or for in class use.
All in all a well thought out book written by an experienced teacher ad teacher educator.
