This study was carried out to investigate the growth and yield of buckwheat as influenced by integrated weed management practices. Among the herbicidal treatments pre-emergence application of fluchloralin @ 2.22 lt. ha-1 along with one hand weeding at 35 DAS and pre-emergence application of fluchloralin @ 2.22 lt. ha-1 combined with post-emergence of application of glyphosate @ 2.50 lt. ha-1 applied alone performed better in reducing weeds density, weeds dry weight throughout the growing period of crop resulted in higher growth parameters, yield attributes and weed control efficiency over control. Maximum reduction of seed and stem yield was observed control treatment because of severe weed-crop competition. The higher seed yield was recorded under hand weeding twice at 20 & 35 DAS and recorded lower weed density and lower dry weights of weeds because of less crop-weed competition. Finally, it may be concluded that hand weeding twice at 20 and 35 DAS recorded highest seed yield, net income, benefit: cost ratio and lowest cost of producing per kg of seed over other weed control practices which is environmentally sound, socially acceptable and economically viable.
