Filming the Unfilmable - Casper Wrede`s One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich

This study is a labour of love for Russian literature scholars Ben Hellman and Andrei Rogachevskii. Chock-full of fascinating and often witty footnotes, the main text provides a thorough account of the film's production.
