understanding the value you can provide for your clients once you move past your traditional role and into the advisory role is hard to imagine unless you’ve done it - until now. femke walks you through the process in a way that’s clear, easy to follow and realistic. the needs of the entrepreneur are changing and if you’re not positioned to partner with your clients as their trusted and much needed advisor, you’re falling behind. i would urge you to read and implement everything she teaches in this book now! - Lisa Campbell, CPB, CPFP, Profit Strategist, The Marcam Group, Canada

i‘m a raving superfan. this book is a must for all financial advisors, especially tax experts, who crave to become a trusted advisor for their customers. embrace the opportunities, that come with the development of artificial intelligence - start your journey now and help your customers to grow a healthy, thriving and profitable business. it’s all laid out in this book - step by step! - Benita Königbauer, Steuerberaterin, Germany

in The Profit Advisor, Femke builds four foundational pillars for the future of the accounting profession.  Accounts production is the beginning of the conversation with the client, not the end. To be an outstanding advisor, you have to be emotionally and proactively invested in your client's goals. The client's understanding of how you can help them beyond the basics cannot be assumed, they need to be educated on an ongoing basis. For an advisor to reach their own goals, they must be intentional and specific in their planning. This is the first time I have read a book which brings together all the aspects required for a 21st century accounting professional to thrive rather than survive, as standard. Most importantly, the book challenges the reader to act and then provides a framework for doing exactly that, which is critical for any professional looking to escape 'The Compliance Trap'. - Martin Bissett, Founder - The Upward Spiral Partnership Ltd, United Kingdom

The Profit Advisor clearly explains the challenge that both business owners and their accountants face in working together. Technology is changing rapidly and constantly. Business is moving faster than ever. Accountants must move quickly too to provide their clients with relevant information to guide them towards profitability. Having been on this journey myself with my accounting practice, this book helped me refine my product offerings to ensure we are meeting our clients needs and are helping them to achieve their profit goals. This book is easy to read and will give you the steps necessary to move you down the advisory path quickly.  - Cyndi Thomason, CEO/Founder bookskeep, USA

Övrig information

Femke Hogema started her career as financial controller for large international companies. She loved numbers and the clarity they provide. But she also noticed the struggle of entrepreneurs with numbers and their accounts. Entrepreneurs find their finances boring, complicated and theoretical. Femke realized entrepreneurs are hurting their companies and lives by ignoring their numbers and she decided to help them build financially healthy and profitable businesses. Today she owns two companies: Profit First Professionals BV and Healthy Finance. She wrote three bestselling books, is a frequently asked (international) keynote speaker and co-hosted a popular television show helping entrepreneurs achieve profitability.
