The book systematically introduces the design theory and method of multi-band RF filtering circuits for the modern wireless communication systems or radar systems, which are required to operate at multi-bands. These multi-band filtering RF circuits have drawn more and more attention from the engineers and scientists in the field of RF circuits design. The book proposes the detailed theoretical analysis and abundant experimental data of multi-mode resonators, multi-band bandpass filter with high selectivity, reflectionless multi-band bandpass filter, balanced filter with high suppression, slotline based multi-band balun filter, switchable filtering diplexer based on reused L-shape resonator and miniaturized 55-/95-GHz on-chip dual-band bandpass Filter. The book is intended for undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in filtering circuits design, researchers who are investigating RF & microwave systems, as well as design engineers who are working in the RF & microwave circuits field. Readers can get an in-depth understanding about the multi-band RF filtering circuits design theory and method.

Övrig information

Dr. Xiaojun Bi is a full professor of School of Optical and Electronic Information, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, in 2005 and 2007, respectively, and Ph.D. degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore in 2013.¿¿ From 2007 to 2008, he worked as a research associate in the Institute of Micro-electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMECAS), Beijing, China. From 2009 to 2013, he was a research scholar with NUS and Institute of Micro-electronics (IME), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) engaged in silicon-based millimeter-wave ICs for THz imaging and Gb/s wireless communication. From 2013 to 2015, he was a research scientist with IME, A*STAR and worked on high-speed IC design. In Dec.2014, he joined the School of Optical and Electronic Information, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China as an associate professor, where he has been a Full Professor since Nov.2020. His current research interests include IC design for high-speed communications and mmWave/THz imaging, and filtering circuits targeted for multi-band communication systems. More specifically, Dr. BI and his team have developed silicon-based wideband driver amplifier, transimpedance amplifier and multiplexer for 4¿25 GB/56 GB/100 GB+ wireline communications, silicon-based W-band and V-band high-sensitivity receivers and hybrid modules for imaging and remote sensing including the world's first single-pole-double-throw distributed amplifier that achieves the lowest insertion loss on silicon at W-band, silicon-based Q-band power amplifier and transmitter for high-speed wireless communications as well as various multi-band filtering circuits on silicon substrate or on-board. Dr. Bi serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Access. He is a technical reviewer for several Transactions inIEEE Circuits and Systems (CAS) Society and IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques (MTT) Society. Mr. Qiang Ma received his B.E. and M.E. degrees in electronic science and technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, in 2015 and 2018. From Sep.2018 to Aug. 2020, he was a hardware engineer in China Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd. (CSIC). Since Sep.2020, he has been pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electronic science and technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Mr. Ma is currently focusing on RF and microwave circuits, especially multiple bandpass filter.¿ Ms. Zilan Cao received her B.E. degrees in electronic science and technology from Hubei University, Wuhan, China, in 2017. Since 2017, she has been pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electronic science and technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Ms. Cao focuses on RF and microwave circuits, especially reflectionless filters.¿ Qinfen Xu received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, in 2003, 2006, and 2012, respectively. From 2006 to 2012, she worked as a Lecturer at¿HUST. Since 2013, she has been an Associate Professor with the School of Optical and Electronic Information, HUST.¿Her current research interests include RF and microwave circuits design.
