This book makes us meditate on the ferocity of the world, but equally it lets us glimpse what is most precious in humanity: the trembling flame of hope' Amin Maalouf 'This story is a necessary lesson against hatred and revenge' Elie Wiesel, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate ... a moving and powerful book ... The Guardian, UK
