Her writing is inspired by the natural world, family, and childhood memories of trips to India. When she is not writing, she can be found quietly rummaging through antique shops or jamming loudly in the lounge with her music-obsessed family. Maribel Castells is an award-winning illustrator and children's book artist from Mallorca, Spain. She creates welcoming, emotionally resonant scenes infused with subtle comedy and charm. Her expressive, signature visual style balances geometric shapes and a finely tuned sensitivity to detail, enriched by a lively interplay of textures and patterns. In addition to illustrating, she advocates for creative education. Her workshop on the joy of making images and stories, "Creating Illustrated Books," has reached more than a thousand children in Mallorca.
