This includes the dark sides as well as the bright.Sometimes even reality is warped, as it does in the near-future tales about the power of words ("e;The Death Sentence"e;) and the violent outcomes of over-crowded cities ("e;The Deck"e;).Quite often, the people in Jasper's stories are overwhelmed and at the end of their ropes, like the protagonists of the four final, loosely connected stories in the collection.
