Notice the gentle rebuke from Jesus in Luke 24:25-27, 44. They were slow to believe all that the prophets had spoken, and he set out to "e;explain to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself"e; (verse 27). Jesus divided the Old Testament into three basic parts: the law, the prophets, and the Psalms (verse 44).God's Word is a solid, stabilizing influence in this chaotic world, where too often "e;crazy"e; is substituted for common sense.Biblical truth is even more powerful than mere common sense. But the Bible has divisions that we must deal with accurately. Consider the Old Testament and the New Testament, the First Coming of Christ and the Second Coming of Christ, law versus grace, and the two-part return of Christ--the Rapture and his glorious appearing--to name a few divisions.The goal of this book is to help beginning students understand end-time events and see how these themes fit together, like a hand in a well-worn glove. We, as Bible teachers, are here to help teach, disciple, and equip others for this noble task (2 Timothy 2:2).Teachers of God's Word share how to have the peace of God in their lives as well as forgiveness of sins and eternal life with those who trust Jesus as Savior. Jesus is a gentleman, though, and will come into your heart and life only if you invite him in. No one can do it for you. You must personally ask him to be your Savior in order to be saved.
