He is a columnist at Stabroek News and Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of South Florida.Desmond Thomas is an independent consultant and former lead economic specialist with the Inter-American Development Bank. He was a lecturer in the economics department at the University of the West Indies, and he was an adjunct professor at the University of Trenta and Florida International University.
