This book is a compilation of eight chapters on the advancements in Biology. The first chapter comprehensively reviews advancements and challenges in utilizing extracellular polymers as materials with biomedical applications. The second chapter discusses the current mechanisms of tubulointerstitial fibrosis progression and the increasingly important role of the proximal tubule injury in driving inflammation and fibrosis. Chapter Three will discuss using computational analysis, in vitro experiments, and applied methods to provide a comprehensive approach to target the synthesis of polymeric substances in pathogenic bacteria. Chapter Four is a short review of such an approach with a special focus on the use of combinatorial peptide ligand libraries (CPLL), extensively applied in proteomics investigations, for the enrichment of very low-abundance proteins in view of their identification and individual quantitation. Chapter Five is a short review of an approach that will improve the sensitivity of analytical methods, with a special focus on the use of combinatorial peptide ligand libraries (CPLL), extensively applied in proteomics investigations, for the enrichment of very low-abundance proteins in view of their identification and individual quantitation. Chapter Five goes on to discuss the function of Cyclo (L-Phenylalanine-L-Proline) on the Proteome of Staphylococcus Aureus. In Chapter Six, recent findings and ongoing progress on Pep-triggered immunity are presented, along with the recent findings of Peps orthologs in other plant species. The mechanism of the influence of celestial bodies on activity and the interaction of domains (Α- and Β-Tubulins) with their surroundings are addressed in Chapter Seven. The last chapter highlights the naturally occurring thiolane type cyclic sulfides and their therapeutical potency particularly anticancer activity. Thiolane-type cyclic sulfides are especially synthesized by Allium species.
