This new manual takes a systemic approach with each chapter focusing on one body system. The order of chapters will follow the traditional order found in anatomy or anatomy and physiology courses. The photos will include skeletal images, photomicrographs of histology and cadaver dissections. This atlas includes full-color photographs of actual cadaver dissections instead of idealized illustrations, to accurately and realistically represent anatomical structures. The goal is to produce an atlas that is a strong teaching and learning publication and not just a catalog of photographs.

Not every student can experience an actual cadaver laboratory, but now you can engage your classes with the next best thing. Real Anatomy, 2.0 lets students explore the human body on their desktop or tablet. Combining real-world knowledge with innovation, this resource, created by a team of media and anatomical experts led by Mark Nielsen and Shawn Miller of the University of Utah, helps instructors teach more effectively as students engage with the material through a truly interactive experience.

This photographic atlas, developed over twenty years of teaching in the field, expedites the work of the zooarchaeologist by integrating both osteology and wildlife ecology into a single volume. Zooarchaeology, the study of animal remains found at archaeological sites, is interdisciplinary in nature, requiring students and researchers to not only master the technical skills of identifying fragmentary bones and teeth but also of developing a deep understanding of the taxonomy, natural history, behavior, and ecology of the species identified. Until now, these topics have always been treated separately. This book is the only field guide and laboratory manual to combine animal ecology and natural history with the detailed osteology of all the vertebrate classes (fishes, amphibians, birds, and mammals) and all the primary orders native to western North America. Skeletal images are shown at a variety of magnifications and views and are accompanied by photographs of the animals in their characteristic habitats.
