Preaching about a Bible text - that is the normal case in Sunday worship. But the gospel is also found in the poetic and musical form of many hymns. Songs provide new language images and convey an atmosphere from which verbal sermons can also benefit. Such an occasional interruption of the homiletic can be good for preachers and listeners alike
