Photoshop has transformed photography and created entirely new scope for artistic expression. Erik Johansson has enjoyed international success with his images of surrealistic dream worlds and pictures that bend the boundaries of reality. Expansive green fields suddenly morph into a mighty waterfall, where a mill wheel turns. A summery country idyll breaks free from the landscape and sets out on a journey above the clouds. Any one of these images can consist of hundreds of photographs combined with minute precision by computer – the result is real and unrealistic at the same time.

Johansson is a photographer and world-leading re-toucher. He was born in 1985 in Götene, Sweden, where many of his original photographs were taken, although he now lives in Prague. Imagine is his first book and contains some fifty of his best works.
