Wares Blade

Wares Blade is a landmark Japanese mecha-fantasy tabletop roleplaying game originally released by Hobby Japan in 1989 and now available in English for the first time. Set on the sprawling continent of Ahan, players take on the roles of wandering “mavericks” navigating political intrigue, dangerous ruins, powerful magic, and battles involving towering bio-mechanical warriors known as Ryude. Blending classic fantasy adventuring with old-school grit and mecha action, Wares Blade features flexible d10-based gameplay, over 500 arcane techniques, dozens of unique mecha units, and a distinctive progression system where characters grow stronger through both success and failure.
