The conditions imposed by the Covid pandemic exposed many vulnerabilities in higher education systems, but also provided valuable lessons that led to the implementation of effective changes.Educational changes are being applied to programmes, projects, practices, and policies with varying degrees of success depending on the context: the needs of students and staff have changed, and considerable attention has been given to the effective continuation of all academic activities through the use of technology; often the nature of higher education and its role in society are being contemplated and ways of sustainable development are being debated.
