Data Collection, Preliminary Observations and Recommendations

The collapse of the Twin Towers is minutely scrutinized in this report which assesses the effect of the impact and fires that led to their eventual disintegration. In addition it studies the performance of buildings and argues for detailed engineering assessments to produce improved guidance and tools for building design and performance evaluation.
